These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the STEM For Others website at https://www.stemforothers.org and the programs, courses, webinars, chapters and online tools we provide (together, the "Services"). STEM For Others Inc. ("STEM For Others," "we," "us" or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Our Services are intended for students, parents, educators and volunteers. If you are under 18, please review these Terms with a parent or guardian. Children under 13 may take part in our programs only with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian or school.
Courses, curriculum, videos, articles, logos and other materials on the Services are owned by STEM For Others or its licensors. You may use them free of charge for personal and educational, non-commercial purposes. Please do not sell, republish or redistribute them commercially without our written permission.
When you submit applications, forms, chapter updates or other content, you confirm that it is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You give STEM For Others permission to use that content to run and promote our programs. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Donations are voluntary and support our free programs. STEM For Others is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 93-3707307), and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers under their own terms. Donations are generally non-refundable; if you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us.
STEM For Others publishes videos on its YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@stemforothers) and uses YouTube API Services in an internal tool to upload its own videos. By using any part of the Services that uses YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information handled through YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy, and is described in the YouTube API Services section of our Privacy Policy.
The Services may link to or use third-party websites and services, such as YouTube, Google, video conferencing tools and payment providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
The Services and all content are provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available," for educational purposes. We work to keep our materials accurate and our programs safe, but we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the Services or that they will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, STEM For Others and its directors, volunteers and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
