Hi everyone! This was our first class of the semester where we'll focus on chemistry. Today, we went over the basics of chemistry including the structure of atoms, the periodic table, states of matter, and the classification of matter. I asked them questions about what they learned and provided examples of how things at a microscopic scale could be related to everyday life. We ended off by learning about non-Newtonian fluids and made oobleck using cornstarch, water and food coloring. See you next week!
