Hi everyone! This week, the Hibbard Huskies made comets using popsicle sticks, aluminum foil, and ribbon! We wanted to jump into a topic that one of the Huskies expressed interest in last week (space!) Using the NASA Space Place website, they learned about the nucleus, coma, gas tail, and dust tail of a comet. Many of them waved their comets in the air as if they were flying through the galaxy! We also asked the Monday group (3rd-6th graders) about the topics they’re interested in learning this year. Engineering / robotics seemed to take the prize! Follow us @stemforotherschicago
