Hello Cougars!
Our final class has concluded, and it was such a wonderful spring to have been spent with y'all. Last week, we attempted to make cardboard gliders, but we ran out of materials. This week, with plenty of cardboard and cereal boxes, we made three aircraft. Each table demonstrated strong teamwork and problem-solving. When we first tested out the airplane, we noted down any improvements to be made, such as adding weight to the nose or re-positioning the fuselage with respect to the wings. When our aircraft were ready, we went outdoors and tested their flight. Our gliders managed to fly much farther and more lofty than last week. Everyone had lots of fun and learned fundamental skills along the way. Once again, I cannot thank you enough for embarking on a seven-week adventure through various fairy tales and a fable of our own. I could recall scavenging recyclable materials across my school for the next lesson and resolving conflicts between each of us. From this program, I hope you all continue to stay curious about STEM and the wonder of engineering. Thank you for letting me be part of your education journey. Until next time!
