Hi everyone! This Monday’s class on 9/11 was all about reinforcing last week’s tougher material and expanding into number theory. We began with exercises to practice exponent rules and negative exponents so students could feel more confident with those concepts. After that, we shifted into number theory, reviewing and defining factors and multiples. We introduced greatest common factor (GCF) and least common multiple (LCM), and the students practiced finding these using strategies like listing and prime factorization. We also spent time breaking numbers into their prime factors to show how this connects to both GCF and LCM. The students were really engaged in the practice problems and started to see how all of these topics fit together. Overall, it was a productive class that helped them deepen their understanding of both exponents and number properties.
