Hi everyone! This Monday’s class on 9/4 built on our foundation from last time. We started with a few short review problems so students could recall the order of operations and properties we learned in the previous class. Then we moved into a new topic: positive exponents. We discussed what exponents represent and introduced some basic exponent rules. Students practiced applying these rules to different problems, and we ended with a brief introduction to negative exponents so they could start getting used to the idea. It was definitely a harder lesson this week, but the students stayed focused and pushed through the challenge. Overall, they did a great job, and we’re ready to keep strengthening these skills next class.
