Hey Wolves! Yesterday was the final class where we learned about a variety of topics surrounding lava lamps. First we learned about different types of lava and how they behave, then we learned about how lava lamps work. We covered topics such as density and worked with a simulation to check our understanding of density. We also learned about convection currents, how they work, and where you can find them. Finally, we built our own model of a lava lamp by putting water and oil into a bottle and then placing an Alka-Seltzer tablet in the water which produced bubbles that float up through the layer of oil
