Hi everyone! In yesterday's lesson we dived into the world of elements and compounds and the chemical reactions that form and break them. We discussed the difference between ionic and covalent compounds using an analogy about sharing cookies(electrons) and the connections it has to interactions happening at the atomic level. We also discussed the process of a chemical reaction and its differences from a physical change, as well as how to distinguish a chemical reaction by checking for common indicators. We ended it off with an elephant toothpaste experiment and a small demonstration of a gas-production reaction
