Redmond Weekly Review (6/5/2025)

Hey Hawks Today, we explored density! We began with an introduction to what density is and how mass and volume affect it. Then, through a video and group discussion, we explored how liquids with different densities form layers. Then it was time for our main activity: tin foil boats! Students formed teams and were each given a piece of tin foil to design and build a boat. Their goal was to apply what they learned to create a boat that could hold the most weight in water. Each team had the chance to test their boat privately, then revise and improve it using a second piece of foil. Finally, we gathered to see how their improved boats did. All groups improved with their boats holding more weight than their first design. Many even held the max or close to the max weight. Great job!
