Oak Weekly Review (3/28/25)

March 28, 2025
Hey Cougars! Today we learned all about energy: what it is, what types there are, and how it affects our lives. The students became “human batteries” in an activity to understand how we use energy to move our bodies. Then, we looked at the ways we harness energy to move all the technology we rely on and how this impacts the environment. The students dove into the differences between renewable and non-renewable sources, including the pros and cons of each. To demonstrate their understanding, they wrapped up the day with designing their own sustainable cities. We learned that renewable energy isn’t always possible to use, yet.So, for homework, we’re asking students to research how technology can make renewable energy more efficient and accessible and to write a short report about what they find. There will be no lesson this upcoming Friday (April 4th), so our next lesson will be on April 18th. Have a wonderful spring break!
