Wangenheim Weekly Review (5/23/25)

Hi Wildcat! Today was our final Stem For Others meeting of the year! We meet last week learning how to build cars with balloons, straws, and cardboard. This week, we used that knowledge and built during class. Creating a body out of cardboard, everybody had a different design that they created. Then we attached wheels made out of cardboard, using toothpicks and tape. Lastly we attached a balloon to a straw then to the body of the car. A lot of students had trouble with this part since we couldn’t get the balloon tight enough around the straw, so a bit of air was always escaping. However, with enough tape, everybody was able to get it to work. We then tested our cars. Some went far while others unfortunately didn’t move. Overall it was a super fun day!
