Hi Wolves! Today, for our second session, we conducted an exciting egg drop experiment - everyone split into groups of 2-3, and each team was assigned the task of protecting an egg from breaking when dropped from a high distance. We used straws and tape to build protective structures for the eggs, with the aim of having the straws absorb the impact instead of the eggs when the structure was dropped. Then came the exciting part! We went outside and dropped our structures, with the eggs safely inside, from above a staircase - unfortunately, all of the eggs broke, but this gave us a chance to do a scientific investigation/hypothesis as to why. Most of our young scientists chalked it up to the fact that the straws were flimsy, and not strong enough to absorb the full impact in order to protect the egg! We then planned our experiment for next week - everyone was eager to do an egg drop experiment again, but this time teams will use their own materials and compete to build best structure.

See you all next week for our exciting second-time run of the egg drop experiment - except this time it'll be a thrilling competition, and much more creative. Go Wolves! :wolf:
