Hello Wolves! Today, we had an awesome session where we learned about the structure of catapults and how they work, along with building our own mini catapults. We used popsicle sticks, rubber bands and spoons to engineer a system that could launch pom-poms and cotton balls to terrific heights! After that, everyone challenged themselves to think about how they could improve their design so that it could launch its projectiles even higher - some students gave a go at building new catapults with completely different designs, using the materials they already had. After a super fun session, it was a general consensus that everyone wanted to do a baking soda and vinegar experiment for our last session next week - see you then for an awesome wrap-up to the Intro to Engineering program!
