7th Grade Math is a free set of short video lessons covering the key skills students learn in seventh grade. Each video focuses on one idea, such as multiplying negative fractions or using a quick percent trick, and explains it in a few minutes. Math becomes a series of puzzles you can crack instead of a wall of rules.
The lessons are made by STEM for Others student volunteers who remember what it was like to learn this material. They focus on the shortcuts and explanations that make tricky topics click and show how math makes everyday life easier.
Rational numbers are the backbone of seventh grade math. Getting comfortable with negative fractions, decimals, and percents now makes equations, proportions, and pre-algebra much easier later.
These lessons are for students in grade 7, students in grade 6 who want to get ahead, and older students who want a quick refresher. You should be comfortable with 6th grade topics like fractions, decimals, and basic equations.
The videos are short, usually a minute or two each, but plan on about 10 hours in total if you pause to practice each skill. Doing one or two lessons a day makes steady progress.
