Hey Cougars! Today marked our final club meeting of the year! We kicked things off with an engaging and competitive Jeopardy game, reviewing many of the STEM principles we explored throughout the year. To create a memorable end to our sessions, we conducted a science experiment called the Iodine Clock. Our high school volunteer, Sophie Nguyen, demonstrated a rapid color change in a solution and explained how it occurs once vitamin C is depleted, allowing iodine to react with starch. Our potluck and awards ceremony was a great way to celebrate all the parents, students, and administrators who helped make this club happen. We would like to recognize Mr. Gunari for all the time and effort he put into starting the club at Oak and for pushing through all the hurdles that came with getting a program like this off the ground. We’re also super grateful to Oak School for supporting and believing in the club. None of this would be possible without their generosity! We hope to see you all next year!
