Chicago Public Library Weekly Review (9/13/25)

Hi everyone! Today we held a workshop in our new Chicago chapter at the Albany Park Library! Kids ages 7-11 built rubber band helicopters from craft sticks, paper clips, cardstock, and propellers. Four volunteers led an interactive slideshow introducing the basic concepts of physics: energy, force, drag, and lift! It was a great success, the kids had a fun time flying their helicopters at the end, and the volunteers did an amazing job of collaborating to provide a fun experience.
