Hi everyone! After a brief cancellation last week, we got into our new and final Introductory Chemistry unit! Our students learned about the 3 states of matter, phase changes, and how everything around us is made of tiny particles called atoms. We also explored elements and the periodic table, talking about groups, periods, and why Group 1 elements become more reactive the further down the group they are. To finish the session, everyone watching fun demonstrations of the different Group 1 elements reacting with water!
