August Distinguished Award Winners Announced!

STEM for Others is proud to announce Anushka Pandey and Joaquin Calle as recipients of our August Distinguished Service Award! Since founding the STEM for Others Sammamish Chapter, Anushka and Joaquin have gone above and beyond to expand accessible STEM education in their community. They’ve led workshops at local libraries, represented STEM for Others at school STEM fairs, recruited volunteers, built community partnerships, and reached over 40 students through two machine learning workshops at the King County Library.They also took initiative to make our curriculum more accessible to younger students, working with the King County Library to develop and revise a new Introduction to Machine Learning curriculum, which is now officially published by STEM for Others. Their work has also been recognized for pioneering youth research mentorship and leading district-level projects at the Challenger Elementary Science Fair. Congratulations, Anushka and Joaquin!
