Hi everyone! This Thursday we held our first workshop at the Sunnyvale Library, with over 40 people. Students were challenged with building the tallest tower using spaghetti noodles, tape, and a marshmallow on the top. After learning about different structure designs and key engineering concepts such as the importance of a strong base, they took on the challenge again with a twist: their towers now had to survive an earthquake test! After implementing what they learned, we noticed significant improvements in their structure stability and strength. The students loved building together and enjoyed the leftover marshmallows too!
