Hey Wildcats, today was our first lecture day on gravity! We learned about its history, mechanics, and why it’s so important. We discussed how gravity differs between various points on Earth and across different planets as well. Most importantly, we shared the different ways in which gravity can be “defied” and how impact force of falling objects can be minimized. Finally, we talked about our egg drop experiment that we will start to build next week. Everyone designed their contraptions using concepts learned in the notes. Some attendees also spent some time finishing creating their flagpoles from last time.
