Hi Wildcats, today was our first experiment day! We conducted an egg drop using the concepts we learned about gravity and how to minimize impact force. Our attendees, either in small groups or individually, were let loose to explore their creativity using materials such as pipe cleaners, paper, rubber bands, and of course, eggs. Finally, we conducted two tests, first by dropping the eggs from around 6 feet, and then by dropping the eggs from the second floor. Out of all the designs, around three quarters survived the first test and about half of those survived the second. Everyone did a great job and we’re excited for more hands-on engineering!
